Wiener Library services during Corona Days

We warmly invite you to use the library online services. Do follow the notifications, which could change every now and then. Updates can be viewed via the library homepage.

 

Entering the Library building


The library is open to students and staff of the humanities and arts faculties.

Following the "Purple Badge" rules, we are preparing Wiener Library for your arrival. Special stands with sanitary tissues placed at the library entrance.
Cleaning your "Study zone" is mandatory at the beginning and at the end of your "Study session".

  • Face Masks have to be worn throughout your stay in the Library
  • Keep a distance of 2 meters between people

 

The new "Corona Days" library schedule

  • The Library is open Sun., Tue., Wed. 10:00 – 16:00; Mon., Thu. 10:00 - 18:00 ; Closed on Fridays
  •  We have lowered the number of seats in the study zones in accordance with the "Purple Badge" rules
  • The seats are numbered, and entrance will only be possible for students/staff members who have reserved a seat in advance using the online booking system
  • Users may enter the library only by prior reservation (limited to 25 hours a week per person). Readers arriving without confirmation of their reservation will not be allowed into the library!

Loans and Returnes

  • Checking out books from the Wiener Library, will be possible at the librarian's desk or via an online form
  • Library books will only be returned through the drop box at the library entrance. The books will be isolated for a period of 72 hours before placing them back on the library shelves.
    When returning books which were requested via the Inter Library Loan (ILL) service, please attach a note to the book emphasizing the fact it was an ILL book.


     

Ordering books/journals from the Closed Shelf

Requesting for Material from a Closed Shelf is done via DATA. The reader will be notified by phone/email when the requested material will be available at the librarian's desk.

 

 

Copying, Printing, Scanning

A Xeroxing/printing/scanning machine is available at the Wiener library.

 

Attention!

  • Library computers will be out of service. Use your Laptops/iPads/Cell Phones.

  • Eating and drinking will not be permitted within the library

 

Remote access to the library resources

The electronic library resources – Databases, Journals, Books are accessible online for the Tel-Aviv University community via the DaTa search system and the Databases Portal.

 

Accessing the online resources from an off campus computer is possible by defining the Proxy Settings which complies with your computer's browser / operating system or any other smart device.
