A closed workshop
The state of Israel has been in the spotlight of European and international attention since its founding in 1948. Yet less attention has been devoted to how the representatives of the government of Israel have interpreted European societies and politics and how European diplomats, both in Israel and in their respective capitals, viewed Israel. The research project that we hope will emerge from this planning workshop is intended to examine these mutual perceptions and interpretations.
