Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

​Interlibrary Loan Service allows patrons to request books, articles, theses, and scans of items from universities and colleges in Israel, not held by Tel Aviv University libraries, or scan from books and periodicals held by the library

The service is available for Tel Aviv University students and staff for purposes of research, teaching, and private study only, and is free of charge

Any physical item that does not form part of any of the university's libraries can be requested, subject to the supplying library's availability and policies;
items that are currently borrowed from the library's collection cannot be requested via ILL service, please place a Hold Request for the item via the DaTA library catalog.

 

Scans of items (books and periodicals), either from the library's collection or from external libraries, can be requested, subject to availability and type of material and in accordance with Copyright Law and Regulations limits:

  • Scans from external libraries: up to two chapters from a book; up to two articles from a periodical; maximum general capacity - 20% of the publication
  • Scans form the local library collection: up to 50 pages
  • Items with digital or online access cannot be requested

The service is free of charge for students and faculty members of Tel Aviv University.
