Reading Halls

The library's extensive collection of books can be found in the two main reading halls on the first and second floor

The halls are designated quiet zones

 

The reading hall holds books and periodicals with an emphasis on the following subjects:

Opening Hours Religious Studies (Christianity, Religions in Asia and the Far East)

Opening Hours Bible Studies and Judaism

Opening Hours Hebrew Language and Literature

Opening Hours Jewish History, History of the Land of Israel

Opening Hours World Literature

Opening Hours Linguistics

Opening Hours Archaeology

Opening Hours Arts (visual arts, film and television, theatre)

Opening Hours Musicology

Opening Hours East Asian Studies

 

In addition, the hall houses two special collections:

Opening Hours Margulies Collection of Yiddish Literature and Culture (CY catalog code)

Opening Hours Faitlovitch Collection on Ethiopia and Ethiopian Jews and Dr. Faitlovitch's personal archive

 

Librarians offer patron reference and guidance services
They are also responsible for developing the hall's collections in collaboration with faculty members according to designated reference areas:
